Step 1: Consult

Meet with a member of our Consult Team to share more about your current needs and help us better understand where you are in your fitness journey. These consult meetings (~ 20 mins) are incredibly valuable to find out how we can best guide you at Wheelhouse. We will share our training philosophy and gym culture. Review membership options and class times that best fit your schedule. We will show you the best way to get connected and to stay connected with our staff and fellow community members. Lastly, we will address any questions, concerns or hesitations you may have.

Step 2: 1st Workout

In your first workout at Wheelhouse, we aim to have a separate on-boarding coach assigned to just You. He/She will be there to assist you with making the right equipment choices, to help scale the workout and show substitutions as well. We will do what it takes to make you feel comfortable as we know, this can be an intimidating experience for some. After the workout, we will debrief and schedule your second workout.

Step 3: Last Workout

Chances are, your second workout will be completely different than your first. Your on-boarding coach will be there with you along the way. By now we hope that you will have a full understanding of our academy and we hope that Wheelhouse is the perfect fit for your needs.

Luan

Luan discovered his passion for the fitness industry back in 2000, and since then, he's never looked back. His greatest joy lies in forging connections with individuals through teaching and coaching. In his role as Team Captain, Luan is dedicated to continually enhancing the community experience here at Wheelhouse. Alongside his wife Kelly and their two daughters, Charlie and Olivia, he proudly calls Birmingham home. Luan firmly believes that fitness is a vital skill set for everyone to possess, yet acknowledges the intimidation and uncertainty that can accompany starting out. His goal is to serve as a guiding light, directing individuals towards the right path and introducing them to a supportive network of like-minded individuals who are all on the journey together.
